We’ve just launched the ClickShare CSE-200+, our enterprise-grade collaboration solution. Want to know all the features, functionalities and practicalities of our newest model? With this set of questions, we would like to introduce you to all the ins and outs of the CSE-200+.

What are the differences between the CSE-200 and the CSE-200+ ? What is the + in 200+?

Compared to the CSE-200, we added following items: 4K output, HDMI input, blackboarding and annotation, dual network capabilities, Miracast support and DFS support when integrating the Buttons in the network. The device also has a USB-C connector. With the Wi-Fi client mode you can connect the CSE-200+ to the network even if there is no Ethernet cable available in the room and full network integration is supported.

That makes it the most versatile collaboration solution on the market today.

What does the E in CSE mean?

It stands for “Enterprise” features that ClickShare has included to cater the needs of contemporary companies: BYOD support (the CSE-200+ supports sharing from the ClickShare mobile App and from different display protocols like Google Cast, Airplay and Window Wireless Display (coming soon)), Interactivity (Touch) and Multiple on Screen. These are all present in following models: CSE-200, CSE-200+ and CSE-800.

What are the interactivity features on the ClickShare CSE-200+?

These allow you to use the touch back function and control your pc from a touchscreen display when sharing. Control your laptop from any touch-enabled screen, and run any application you need for your meeting! No need to go back to your laptop or use clickers to move to the next slide. Simply tap the screen to switch slides. And with a few touches on the screen, you can also open other presentations, share mails, start a video. Additionally there is the option to use blackboarding and annotation.

Why should I upgrade to a new ClickShare device?

If you want to enjoy more interactivity & a 4K collaboration canvas, ClickShare offers two options: the CSE-200+ or CSE-800. They feature  4K output, HDMI input, blackboarding and annotation, dual network capabilities, Miracast support and DFS support when integrating the Buttons in the network. These features are not available on the CS-100 Huddle, CS-100 or CSE-200, nor will they be added via software updates.

Is the new CSE-200+ a new hardware Product? Or is it possible to upgrade older CSE-200 units?

The CSE-200+ is a new hardware device indeed. Upgrading will not be possible.

How many Buttons are delivered with the CSE-200?

The CSE-200+ is delivered with 2 Buttons, type USB-A. Additional Buttons can be ordered separately both for USB-A or USB-C.

Are old ClickShare Buttons compatible with the CSE-200+?

Buttons compatible with the CS-100 Huddle are the 3rd generation Buttons that work with the CS-100, CSE-200, CSE-200+ and CSE-800 as well. These have R9861500D01 as model number, on the back of the Button. Buttons with USB-C are always 3rd generation Buttons, these have T9861500D01C as model number. Older Buttons, with R9861006D01 as model number are no longer compatible with the current ClickShare portfolio and can only be used for EOL products CSM-1 and  CSC-1.

Can I use the Button and App together? Or do I have to choose?

Of course you can. You can use either the iconic ClickShare Button or decide to work with the ClickShare Desktop App. In a networked environment we suggest to go for an App- first deployment. The App will be available for download on www.clickshare.app from April 2019 onwards. Whereas in a standalone setup the Button makes sure your computer wifi is not solely used for screen sharing.

You can even use both together: get easily on screen with the ClickShare Button and use the app to use the power features such as pausing.

What is the advantage of using the ClickShare App next to the Button?

  • It gives companies the freedom to choose how they want to allow sharing of content: via the Button or via the Desktop App.
  • The ClickShare Desktop App is especially interesting for internal employees, since it will require the installation of the App on the employee’s desktop. As for the entire ClickShare range, the Desktop App has been built to meet the highest security requirements, so the IT department can easily and securely roll the App out to the entire company.
  • Users can get on the screen even faster.
  • With updates later this year, the Desktop App will become the driver for more collaboration in the meeting room. The Desktop App has a number of power user features, such as extended desktop, pausing your presentation, etc.
  • For the best and most secure App experience, connect the ClickShare Base Units to your network and avoid losing internet connectivity with your desktop when using the App

Does CSE-200+ support 4K 30fps?

Yes, the output resolution is 4K UHD @ 30hz.

When will the CSE-200+ be delivered?

Devices will be available for shipping from Q1 2019 onwards depending on the region.

What does a CSE-200+ cost?
