Aah! Summer! It’s such a relaxing time. Whether you’re reading on the beach or following our travel stories in Belgium, the UAE, the USA or India. Our next stop is in the APAC region. There’s so much to see! And so little time to do it all! Our virtual tour will introduce you to a few of the highlights.

Artistic Asia
Our first stop is in Singapore. For an introduction to the APAC region, there’s no better place to start than the National Gallery – Asian Art Museum. It’s the biggest collection of Singaporean and Southeast Asian art in the world. And a great way to familiarize yourself with the different techniques, movements and schools of art across the continent. Of course, the museum building, a former city hall and court of justice, is a work of art in itself. Barco has also proven it’s the perfect canvas for projection mapping.

Bigger is better
We know there are a lot of cinema lovers out there! And when it comes to watching films, bigger is better. Especially at the Lotte World Tower in Seoul. It’s home to the biggest cinema screen on the planet. It’s 34 metres wide, backed up with 3D immersive audio, and features extra-bright 3D images presented by Barco DP4K-60L projectors. It’s a cinematic experience worth travelling for.

The ultimate shopping experience
Possibly more than any other country, China is determined to move the shopping experience a step ahead. Whether it’s by offering unique products, charging impossibly low prices, or most recently, by ditching the dull elevator music and replacing it with something special. The 3D sound system in the 189 Lane mall appeals to the sense of hearing, using everything from natural sounds to classical and electronic compositions to make sound a critical part of the shopping experience. There are more than 100 sE speakers that bring sound to life across the five storeys of 189 Lane. They are all managed by Barco’s IOSONO Core processor, allowing the same sounds to be played on each floor simultaneously, or for individual mixes tailored to each floor.

The final stop
Our final stop is in Australia. And what better place? As summer is drawing to a close in the northern hemisphere, the sun is starting to appear among the winter clouds in Australia. And for the true Australian summer experience, everyone at Barco Sydney has let us know that the Gold Coast is the place to be. Pristine white sands, bright blue water and the delights of feeling the sun on your back. If your vacation has already ended and you’re in Australia for work, there’s no reason why you should miss out. Barco has recently fitted the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) with the ClickShare wireless presentation system, HDX-W14 and RLM-W8 projectors and E2 Event Master screen management processors so that your corporate presentations will run like clockwork, leaving you plenty of time to head out to the beach. Enjoy!
This was our last stop in our Barco Summer Series for 2017. For now, it’s time to get back to business. And time to start wondering about where to go next summer …
